Charleston International Airport is located 12 miles from historic downtown Charleston
and near the intersection of I-26 and I-526. Arrivals and departures are on the same
level; therefore, passengers and meeters and greeters will find good accessibility
throughout the airport. The major airlines have ramped loading bridges to/from
the aircraft. Some regional jets may require boarding by stairs from the tarmac
or the use of a lift-a-loft (check with your airline regarding their boarding
